Redesign a SaaS product to help users identify the tracks (songs) played in DJ mixes and find related information about them.
Sometimes for users, it was not enough to have a tracklist; they also needed to see what song is currently playing. A common request was that they wanted to be able to jump between the songs in the mix, so they can quickly get a handle of all the songs in it. The design of the old version of the site was outdated and overly noisy. A heuristic evaluation revealed that the visual hierarchy was broken and those essential elements like audio players were inconsistent, which may confuse the users. Color also had not been used strategically.
In the web app, users have access to information the song being currently played. They can jump from song to song. All of the important information about the songs, remixes of them, and their reappearance in other mixes was available with a minimum number of clicks.
User can listen to song, see in which tracklists it is featured in, and more.
The mobile app was designed with a modal player that expanded above the feed. Thanks to that pattern, users are able to easily dive into listening experiences and to find relevant data about track lists right from the modal. In that way they are able to explore the feed and listen music simultaneously.
