"The Beat Sculpture" is a sculpture that is shaped by dynamic and rhythmic properties of drum playing. The system is assembled by a network of software for audio production, interaction and 3d generation and translates the recording of musical performances into the language of sculpture. The project is a result of my fascination with rhythm and sculpture. Although I also dealt with the problem of rhythm in my previous visual work, now for the first time I use music performance for visual shaping. In this way I want to take advantage of spontaneous expression of drum playing, using it to shape the specific solid form. The music becomes solid so one can look at it, one can touch it and observe it as a whole, in total silence.
